Over 300 calories and 52 carbs burned on the elliptical today. Life cereal for breakfast, looking like pb&j for lunch.

I Ran a 5k
Ok, well, really I walk/jogged a 5k with my sister.
What a Busy Month!
5th - I did my 600 calorie preset on my elliptical.
6th - I somehow missed...
7th - I walked 10 miles in 3 hours
8th- Nada
9th - 5k 40mins (Race for the Cure)
10th - Body weight circuit x 2 and Interval x 2.5 mins
11th - Interval x 4 mins @ resistance 6
12th - elliptical x 7mins.. just so I could say I did something
13th - walked for 2 hours on the beach
14th - Today? Oh geez.. I haven't done anything... yet... wahhh
What Does It All Mean?
Body weight circuit? I got from Nerd Fitness here.
20 squats
10 push ups
20 lunges
10 dumbbell rows with a gallon of milk
15 second plank
30 jumping jacks
Interval Training? I also got from Nerd Fitness.
This is based off of what is called Tabata training. I tweaked it a little. Steve from Nerd Fitness says that you should only do this if you are in pretty good shape already. This is why I only made it through 2.5 mins on the 10th. I was on resistance 10... So, how did I tweak it? I alternate 10 seconds "sprinting" 20 seconds slow slow pace "rest" for 4 minutes.
I Really Am Trying
I mean, I am not going to make any effort to squish something in tonight, but I'll just make up for it tomorrow. I have been driving all day and I'm exhausted. I do really need to work on my eating. I went on a three day vacation and ate sooo much crap... ughh! Side Note: I have put my scale away. I am working toward becoming fit not just skinny, so there is no goal weight. I am trying to focus on strength. How many times can I do a circuit? At what resistance can I make it 4 mins doing "Tabata"? These are my focus for now.
5k Addiction
Oh man! When I got home from the 5k I was a different person I was just rambling on and on to Daniel and he just stares at me and says, "Are you just happy?" And a stopped and thought for a second and my answer was yes. I was sooo happy! It was some kind of high! I have found that I love to do 5ks and now I want to improve! I want to finish faster next time. Shoot! I can't even believe I want there to be a next time, but I do. Know what else I've been craving to do? KAYAKING!! I loooove a kayak. Man I love it! I'm so happy to find physical hobbies that I enjoy. Now to just find a friend interested in these things so I have someone to do them with...

Why I am a Terrible Blogger
Yeah, I know that I am a terrible blogger. :) When I miss a few days blogging it usually means I'm being bad.
Well, I have been. I started eating anything and everything in sight. I need a good hobby. One that uses a lot of brain power and energy, but not much money. Any ideas? When I get bored I want to eat, and when I eat out of boredom, I eat poorly.
So, what have I been doing? Ok, good question. Not an easy one to answer because I feel lazy and lame for not having a thrilling tale as to why I have not become a paleo pro or a exercise queen... I started really working out with my (borrowed) elliptical. Wednesday I jumped on it and went to work! I played around and then decided to do the 300 calorie preset. I finished that a lot easier than I thought, so, I tortured myself by doing the 400 calorie immediately following the first preset. I know, stupid right? So I burned over 700 calories Wednesday. I felt ill. I didn't know I'd I would pass out or throw up. I kept myself hydrated, but I had to wait at least an hour and a half before I could eat anything. SIDE NOTE: I was raised to go to food when I feel sick. It's a terrible habit and a very hard one to break. End Side Note. You know what I did that night? Yep! I made my entire workout worthless by eating a ton of cookies and some cheesy bread.. I think I even had a slice of pizza. Yeah, STUPID STUPID STUPID!!! I couldn't believe I had just wasted all that hard work.
Thursday
I jumped back on my elliptical. I did the 600 calorie preset. Oh man did I think I was gonna die. I made it though. I pushed through the level 8 and 9 resistance.

Weight and Measurements
I weighed myself and measured last night. I was not happy with what I saw, but I must admit that I was relieved that I have not gained as much as I was afraid I had.
I am definitely starting notice all my jiggly areas now that I'm walking on my breaks and using the stairs again. Ew. Way too much jiggle for my tastes.
I did well yesterday adding fruits and veg to every meal and am doing well so far today. Eating melon and berries and pico de gayo. I avoided free donuts in the break room last night and this morning! I am excited and eager to see some healthy changes in my shape.
So, as for my weight and measurements, here they are:
Weight: 151.8
Measurements:
W-35
C-28
T-22 1/2
A-11
These are in lbs & inches. Measurements are waist, chest, thigh, arms.
Please don't try to judge me or tell me I'm already a good size. I want to feel comfortable in my body and no I do t have a weight goal. My goal is not weight, but fit.
Here are my NOW shots hopefully soon to be before shots.

Gross right? Yuck! ;) This is what I'm looking to get rid of.

Help! I'm drowning!
AHHHH!
Well, not really.. I'm actually sitting at my desk reading the Nerd Fitness blog. Amazing! Check it out if you haven't. I just finished reading his posts about Why People Suck at Getting Healthy and How NOT to Suck at Goal Setting. So, I am following his advice. i am going public, and I will most likely embarrass myself on here a few times. Who cares? I am human and I am a lazy slacker that claims "no motivation" instead of laziness. (Wait, I just claimed laziness while claiming not to claim laziness.)
ANYWAY, you get my point. Today is a new day. Why not start on a new day instead of waiting for a new year. Do you know how much I could accomplish if I started now? Ok, so, I know I've done this at least 576,412 times in the past year. I get really excited about something and then I give up. I claim I am SO passionate about it and then I find my lost passion for cookies and ice cream and... uh oh. Let's just call my baking affairs the "unmentionables" from now on so I won't start some hard core craving. (I mean, I AM a girl).
So, What am I going to do?
Hmm.. good question I probably should have thought of a plan before I started typing. Just kidding. I am going to do a step-by-step into the Paleo Diet. (btw this link is to the BEST explanation I found online!) I know Steve from Nerd Fitness says to jump into it, but I know me and I know I will freak out and have a nasty binge with my unmentionables. It won't be pretty. So, I am going to start easy. I am really going to make sure I have the steps down!
My Plan
Week 1: Add more fruits and vegetables. I am going to add fruits and vegetables to every meal. (At least one or the other if not both)
Week 2: Eat a lean protein with every meal. (List here)
Week 3: NO PROCESSED FOODS! I don't think I eat processed foods, so by this week I'll just really watch what I'm putting in my mouth.
Week 4: no. sugar. *wince* Ouch! That's hard to write.. I'm gonna do it though. I'm going to kick my sugar addiction in the butt!!
Week 5: No processed veg oils.
Week 6: No wheat or wheat gluten. (Oi! No more pasta! Did I just mix countries? Oi and pasta in the same sentence?)
Week 7: No more grains.
Week 8: No fermented or non-raw dairies.
Week 9: No beans or legumes. Easy peasy!
Week 10: Add some fermented foods. Now I'll be honest.. that sounds gross, and I'll need to research what exactly those are.
So, here we go! Cheers to a new me! :)
