We live in a small town where it's tradition to cook with a ham hock, shortening, butter, fat, and whatever else makes people blow up! ;) There are no sidewalks and people usually drive to their mailboxes. Not the easiest to be healthy in a town like this. I am determined to get healthy and stay that way. I just have one major problem... I have fallen in love with baking. What good ever comes from baking? Cakes, cookies, brownies, bars, casseroles....
Daniel and I currently work at a hospital and let me tell you it's a lot harder to eat healthy at a hospital than it should be. Patient families just LOVE bringing us chocolates, cakes, cookies, donuts, etc. and usually on a day that I am supposed to be on a 'diet' one of these little snacks shows up..
At my job I sit on my butt at the nurses' station for 12 hours so I am trying hard to incorporate more movement in my job. Most of the time this means standing in front of my short desk... I may look silly, but who will be laughing at the beach, huh!?!??!?!! Muuahahahahahah!! Oh, sorry got a bit carried away there.
My current interests are nutrition, fitness, hair, skin, makeup, and photography. Man, listing that makes me feel a little vain.. :)
